Lookingglass Rural Fire District Congratulates Bryan Guzman-Bravo on Passing the National Registry EMT Examination
The Lookingglass Rural Fire District is proud to recognize Bryan Guzman-Bravo for achieving an important milestone in his emergency services career by successfully passing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examination.
After completing two terms in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program through Umpqua Community College, Bryan has met the national requirements for EMT certification and is now awaiting issuance of his Oregon EMT-Basic certification.
The National Registry examination is the nationally recognized certification process for Emergency Medical Technicians and requires students to demonstrate competency in patient assessment, emergency medical care, trauma management, medical emergencies, airway management, and critical decision-making. Successfully completing both the EMT program and the National Registry examination represents hundreds of hours of classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, clinical experience, and personal dedication.
Bryan joined Lookingglass Rural Fire District through our Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant program and is currently enrolled in the Fire Science Program at Umpqua Community College. Through the SAFER Grant, LRFD was able to fully fund Bryan's Fire Science and EMT education, removing financial barriers and allowing him to focus on obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary to serve our community.
Investing in our volunteers through education and professional training is one of the many ways the SAFER Grant strengthens emergency services within the Lookingglass community. Every new certification enhances our department's ability to provide timely, professional fire and emergency medical services to those who depend on us.
Bryan's accomplishment reflects the commitment, professionalism, and work ethic we strive to develop in every member of our organization. We are excited to see him continue his career with Lookingglass Rural Fire District and look forward to the positive impact he will make as a certified Oregon EMT-Basic.
Congratulations, Bryan, on this outstanding achievement. Your LRFD family is proud of your dedication, and we look forward to your continued success in the fire and emergency medical services profession.
