Lookingglass Rural Fire District invites community members to attend an Open House on Saturday, June 27, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at our station.

This event is an opportunity for the public to visit the station, meet local volunteer firefighters, and learn more about the services LRFD provides to the community. Attendees will be able to view apparatus and equipment, see recent station improvements, and gain insight into current operations and future goals.

Food will be available throughout the event, including pulled pork and chicken, along with hot dogs for children. A suggested donation of $5 per plate will help support district needs.

Activities and opportunities during the Open House will include:

• Tours of the fire station and recent renovations
• Meeting LRFD volunteer personnel
• Viewing fire apparatus and equipment
• Hands-on interaction, including the opportunity to spray water from a fire hose
• Informational discussions about district operations and future planning
• Family-friendly activities such as cornhole

Partner agencies have been invited to attend as availability allows, including Tenmile Rural Fire District, Central Douglas Fire & Rescue, Umpqua Valley Ambulance, Camas Valley Rural Fire District, Douglas County Emergency Management, REACH Air Ambulance, DFPA, and others.

The Lookingglass Grange will also be present and assisting throughout the event.
