New CPR Assist Device!
Lookingglass Rural Fire District Awarded Grants for Life-Saving Equipment
The Lookingglass Rural Fire District is excited to announce it has received two generous grants that will greatly enhance its emergency response capabilities. The district has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe and an additional $7,500 from the Mercy Community Gifting Program.
These funds have been used to purchase a Lucas 3.1 CPR Assist Device, a critical tool in providing high-quality chest compressions to patients experiencing cardiac arrest.
The Lucas 3.1 device will allow our emergency responders to deliver consistent, uninterrupted chest compressions, even in challenging conditions. This advanced technology will increase the effectiveness of life-saving efforts and improve outcomes for those in need during emergency situations.
We are deeply grateful for the generous support from both the Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe and the Mercy Community Gifting Program. The Lucas device will help us provide faster and more reliable care to our community, and it truly underscores the importance of strong partnerships in safeguarding our residents.
These grants reflect a shared commitment to enhancing public safety and improving health outcomes for the rural community of Lookingglass. The Lookingglass Rural Fire District looks forward to incorporating the Lucas 3.1 CPR Assist Device into its life-saving toolkit and continuing to serve the community with excellence.
