Power House Electric Helps Get LRFD Back Up and Running

A white van labeled "Powerhouse Electric" is parked in front of a building with red garage doors.

The Lookingglass Rural Fire District would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Power House Electric for donating their time, skill, and expertise to help us get our new air compressor connected and operational.

When our previous compressor went out of service, the cost of replacement and installation quickly became a concern. During the installation of our new unit, an unexpected issue was discovered. Power House Electric not only completed the electrical hookup but also took the time to troubleshoot and resolve the problem, ensuring our station was back up and running safely.

These types of projects can become expensive very quickly. Our goal at LRFD is always to make the most of every dollar of tax revenue we receive. We do this by applying for grants, seeking donations, and relying on community partnerships like this one to help keep costs down. By doing so, we can continue to maintain a strong emergency response capability while keeping local taxes as low as possible.

Unfortunately, like many departments across the nation, we face challenges due to limited volunteer availability and equipment breakdowns. Despite these hurdles, LRFD remains committed to providing the best emergency response possible to the residents of our district.

We are always looking for new volunteers and community support—whether through donations, training participation, or simply spreading the word about our mission. Every hour volunteered and every dollar donated helps us stay ready to respond when our community needs us most.

Once again, thank you to Power House Electric for your generosity and dedication to supporting your local fire district. Your contribution helps keep our team operational, our community safe, and our mission moving forward.
