The Lookingglass Rural Fire District would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Tom Johnson for his dedicated service and commitment to our community.

Tom first joined LRFD in 2006, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his successful career in the U.S. Army. Over the years, he achieved multiple certifications, including NFPA Firefighter 1, NFPA Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator, and NFPA Apparatus Equipped with Fire Pump. Through his dedication and leadership, he rose to the rank of Captain before retiring in 2018.

However, Tom’s passion for service never wavered, and in 2022, he returned to LRFD as an Engineer, once again providing invaluable support as a certified driver and pump operator. His expertise, mentorship, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting impact on our department and the community we serve.

As Tom steps away from the fire service once again, we celebrate his incredible career and thank him for his years of dedication. His legacy at LRFD will not be forgotten, and we wish him the very best in his well-earned retirement.

Thank you, Tom, for your service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to keeping Lookingglass safe!
