Thank You, DripDrop and the National Volunteer Fire Council!

A person adds DripDrop electrolyte powder to a clear sports bottle, mixing it with water, in an outdoor setting.

Lookingglass Rural Fire District would like to extend a sincere thank you to DripDrop for their generous donation of electrolyte hydration products to help support our personnel while responding to calls, participating in training, and working during periods of extreme heat.

For firefighters and emergency responders, staying properly hydrated is an important part of remaining safe and effective. Emergency responses can require personnel to work for extended periods while wearing heavy protective equipment, operating around fire and heat, and performing physically demanding tasks. These conditions can lead to significant fluid and electrolyte loss through sweating.

DripDrop provides our personnel with a convenient way to replace fluids and electrolytes during incident rehabilitation, training, wildland fire responses, structure fires, and other extended operations. Having hydration products readily available on our apparatus helps us take better care of the volunteers who are giving their time to serve our community.

For a small rural volunteer fire district, donations like this make a real difference. Every product donated is one less operational expense that must come from our limited budget while helping us provide our personnel with resources that support their health, safety, and readiness.

We would also like to thank the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) for coordinating this donation opportunity and continuing to connect volunteer fire and emergency service organizations across the country with programs and resources that support their personnel.

Thank you, DripDrop and NVFC, for supporting Lookingglass Rural Fire District and the volunteers who answer the call for our community.
